A pragmatic entrepreneur Anjana Jayakody laid the foundation stone to begin Voleena Foods in 1998, in a small kitchen with his beloved wife. When he embarked on this journey, Anjana was just a young man in his 20s, and just passed out from the Ceylon Hotel School.

But, it has been his long-cherished dream to start his own business, as Anjana Jayakody never wanted to work under anybody.

“I always wanted to start something of my own,” “I started it and pursued it until I achieved success… whatever I did, I did with an unmatched dedication until I achieve 100 per cent success.” - Anjana.

Thus began the monumental journey of Voleena Foods which is located in Kalagedihena, just 30Km from Colombo.
